Expand your business into the European Union

We take proven companies into the European Union. And we stay until it works.

OAS Ventures works with management teams from outside the EU on the decisions that decide whether a European expansion holds: where to set up, how to structure it, how goods move or services are delivered, how sales begin, and who to hire.

What we deliver

Setting up the entity is the easy part. What comes after it is the work.

A European expansion unfolds in a known order. We take on each step with you, from the first decision to the first sales and the team that carries them.

Step oneDecide where

The right country, the right entity, for the right reasons.

Before anything is registered, we assess the market for your product and choose the base that fits your customers, your tax position and your operations. For a fashion brand that meant Amsterdam as the gateway to 30 EU markets. For an industrial joint venture from outside the EU, it meant a Dutch seat with operations placed closer to its manufacturing customers.

Step twoSet up

A company that is ready to trade, not just registered.

Formation, banking, registrations and the accountants who will keep the books, with a reporting structure your headquarters can read. We have done this for our own subsidiaries in the Netherlands and Dubai, and for clients whose head offices sit in Istanbul, India and the Gulf.

Step threeMove goods

Stock close to your customers, on contracts that hold.

Where inventory sits, who moves it, how it clears customs and how returns come back. We tender, negotiate and set it up, as we have for nine warehouses serving a fashion brand's 60 countries, and for an industrial manufacturer's fulfilment operation in Poland. When the product itself needs to be made or sourced, we go upstream too: we have built sustainable sourcing from Türkiye for a Scandinavian basics brand and for a series of smaller labels.

Step fourStart selling

From the first European customer to a working pipeline.

Pricing and channels for Europe, the first distributors and B2B accounts, and where it fits, marketplaces and a localised webshop. We have sold B2B across the EU in person and on the road, opened more than ten marketplaces, and shipped over two million packages through webshop and marketplace channels combined.

Step fiveRun it

Systems that connect the new office to the rest of the company.

The commerce and ERP stack, the integrations with marketplaces and logistics partners, and the reporting that shows headquarters what is happening. The same stack we built to connect three offices, nine warehouses and ten marketplaces, including an in-house data platform that still runs today.

Step sixBuild the team

The people and relationships that carry the plan after us.

The first local hires, their contracts and payroll, interim management until they are in place, and the financing and partners that help the operation grow. We have raised funds, negotiated long-term fulfilment deals and designed pilot programmes with partners such as Zalando, and we bring those relationships with us.

And we stay, following progress against the target until it is reached.

Exporting services

Selling expertise rather than goods? The path is the same. The questions change.

Software, engineering, design, consulting, healthcare and education companies need no warehouse in Europe. They need a European company to sign with, data handled within EU rules, invoices in euros, and people their clients can meet.

An EU contracting entity

Many European buyers, and most public tenders, prefer to sign with an EU company. We set up the entity or branch that can hold contracts and invoice locally.

Data protection and contracts

GDPR, data processing agreements, hosting location and the terms enterprise clients ask for, in place before the first procurement review.

Tax on services

VAT on cross-border and digital services, withholding tax, and transfer pricing between headquarters and the European entity.

Professional standing

Recognition of qualifications, professional insurance and the registrations some sectors need before they can deliver work in an EU country.

A team on the ground

A country manager, business developers and client success people in the right language and time zone, with delivery staying at home where it makes sense.

Support at home

A European set-up planned to work alongside the export support programmes your company may use at home, such as support for overseas offices and market entry.

The experience behind it

Everything we offer, we have done before, as operators rather than advisers.

OAS Ventures was founded by Osman Arda Sezer after a decade of building international operations from the inside, in fashion, textiles, consumer goods and industrial materials. The way we work comes from that experience, and so does the network.

At Touché Privé, a Turkish fashion brand, he founded and ran the international business: a webshop for Europe, integrations with more than ten marketplaces, B2B sales across the EU, a Dubai subsidiary, financing rounds, and the fulfilment contracts behind nine warehouses serving 60 countries. When the pandemic removed most of the brand's European wholesale revenue in 2020, he led its shift to a digital business within a year, a story later published by ZEOS and WGSN.

The work since has been wider than fashion. He set up a sourcing company that helped small and medium brands move to sustainable supply chains, built sustainable sourcing from Türkiye for a Scandinavian basics brand, and guided a series of companies from outside the EU through their European set-up. Most recently he established the Dutch base and Polish fulfilment operation of an international industrial joint venture. Across all of it, the sequence was the same: entity, accounting, logistics, sales, technology, people.

He has lived in the United States, worked in India and with Indian partners, and done business across the GCC, which matters when your headquarters sit in one of those places and your new market is Europe.

Who we work with

Companies with a product that works and a market that is not yet Europe.

A good fit

  • A proven product or service with established sales outside the European Union.
  • A real organisation behind it: sales people, technical staff, production or laboratories.
  • A decision to build a European sales network, not to test one from a distance.
  • Medium and large companies in SaaS, FMCG, industrial, manufacturing, retail or services. We have worked across fashion, consumer goods, textiles and industrial materials.

What we help you avoid

  • Registering in the wrong country because a provider happened to be there.
  • A fulfilment contract that looks cheap until the volumes change.
  • Marketplace listings that go live before tax, returns and labelling are ready.
  • A local hire with no one on the ground to set their direction.

How it works

A retainer scaled to the scope and depth of your business, until the target is reached.

We help build the company in exchange for a monthly retainer, set by how much of the work we take on and how deep the business is. Every engagement follows the same three movements.

I

Design

We agree the target, the country, the structure and the budget, and put them in a plan your management team owns.

II

Execute

We do the work alongside you: formation, registrations, partners, contracts, hires and first sales. The work itself, not a list of recommendations.

III

Follow up

We track progress against the target month by month and keep adjusting until it is reached.

After the target

Continue, expand or cease. The business priorities decide, every time.

Once the target is reached, we can carry on in the same scope, widen it to new markets or functions, or close the engagement. Either side can end it at any point.

Who does the work

Every engagement is led personally by our founder, with a bench of specialists brought in as the work requires: accountants and tax advisers in the Netherlands, Poland and Germany, notaries and lawyers for formation and contracts, warehouse and fulfilment partners, developers for commerce and marketplace integrations, and recruiters in Amsterdam, Istanbul and Dubai.

These are people we have hired, contracted and negotiated with over the past decade. You get them with the relationship already in place.

Contact

If your product sells elsewhere and Europe is next, let's talk.

Tell us what you make, where you sell today and what a successful European operation would look like in three years. Every enquiry is read and answered personally.
